Clients often come to us with worries regarding how things are going in the family. Misunderstandings and hurts can build up to a place where you wonder how your relationship with a family member became strained, tense, or unpredictable. The accumulation of life stressors can leave you feeling burnt out and in need of support. The good news is, family therapy has been research-proven to relieve symptoms of depression, anxiety, and many other struggles as well as enhance happiness and well-being. Using systemic therapy techniques including Emotionally Focused Family Therapy, we can develop better communication about how to talk about the hard things that we all would rather push under the rug or that cause family conflict. Even though it can be challenging to face these issues head-on, we think this work should be fun. We pepper in as much play as possible.
