We are committed to making high-quality therapy more accessible. Our Master’s-level Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT) graduate intern, Vally Rodriguez, offers reduced-fee sessions at half the regular price. For clients with financial need, she may be able to lower this rate further through a sliding scale. Vally has extensive advanced training, above and beyond her graduate school coursework, in evidence-based therapy methods including Gottman Method Couples Therapy (levels 1 and 2), Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. Vally provides therapy under the close supervision of leading couples therapists in the field, including Dr. Tasha Seiter, MS, PhD, LMFT. She receives regular guidance and support to ensure excellent care.
Vally is a great fit for individuals, couples, and families who may otherwise feel limited by cost, but value seeing a highly trained and specialized provider. Reduced-fee sessions provide access to quality support for your mental health and relationships at a more affordable rate. With Vally Rodriguez, sessions are offered at half the standard fee, and when needed, she can sometimes adjust costs even further through a sliding scale. To schedule a session with Vally or explore whether she’s the right fit for you, visit her page here or reach out to us using the contact form below. We’d be glad to answer your questions and guide you toward the support you need.
Why Are Services Discounted?
Because Vally is still in training in her graduate program, her services are offered at a significantly reduced cost (half-priced). However, rest assured, she provides a supportive therapeutic environment for clients and has extensive advanced training, even beyond her graduate school coursework, in evidence-based therapy methods. The graduate internship is a standard and essential part of the educational journey for future therapists, and it creates a win-win situation:
- Clients receive supportive, confidential, and professional care at a lower cost.
- Intern Therapists gain valuable hands-on experience working with individuals, couples, and families in a real-world setting, guided by an experienced, licensed therapist.
How Clinical Hours Work for Master’s Interns
To become a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, master ’s-level students must complete a certain number of supervised clinical hours, which typically means direct work with clients in a therapy setting. These hours are required by their graduate programs and state licensing boards.
Here’s what that means for you as a client:
- All sessions are supervised by an experienced licensed therapist who reviews the intern’s work and guides them to ensure the delivery of ethical, high-quality care.
- You’ll receive therapy from someone who is actively learning the most up-to-date, evidence-based practices.
- Your sessions remain confidential, just like they would with any licensed therapist.
Is Working with a Graduate Student Intern Right for You?
Choosing to work with Vally might be a great fit if:
- You’re looking for therapy that’s more affordable.
- You’re open to working with a therapist-in-training who is supervised, up-to-date on cutting-edge, science-backed methods, and passionate about helping others.
